You will report to a Program Manager and work closely with VA client representatives, contractors, designers, and internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery.

This role does not perform trade or contractor self-perform work. Instead, it focuses on oversight, coordination, analysis, and client representation on complex healthcare construction projects.

  • Have experience supporting healthcare, federal, or institutional construction projects
  • Are comfortable analyzing budget, schedule, quality, and compliance data
  • Can operate independently while collaborating with clients and project teams
  • Are interested in supporting mission-critical VA healthcare facilities

The Construction Manager will be required to learn and integrate our company’s best practices related to project delivery, budget, schedule, quality and operations in the healthcare environment. The Construction Manager will act as an advisor/liaison with the client (user groups, design team, contractors, and facility engineering representatives). The Construction Management services will be used to support traditional Design-Bid-Build and Design/Build contracts. A summary of the major tasks is below.

  • Review contractor submittals and reported progress for conformance with approved plans and contracts
  • Prepare analytical reports and correspondence for client and leadership review
  • Apply company best practices related to healthcare project delivery, safety, quality, and compliance

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction management, or a related field
