About the role:

We are looking for a Construction Manager for Substation projects on a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2) to review projects after completion and report successes, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement. The role prioritizes and enforces safety protocols, ensures compliance with regulations and industry standards, and requires a broad understanding of company procedures.

You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. This position is located in Juno Beach, FL and is eligible for a per diem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work safely near equipment energized at hazardous voltage levels
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with direct reports to enhance teamwork and report issues
• Use MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and specialized substation construction software
• Support commissioning efforts through energization
• Perform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audit construction quality
• Maintain open communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Keep detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections
• Lead construction tasks, monitor progress, provide feedback, and resolve conflicts

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to identify and mitigate hazards
• Ability to resolve issues that may arise during construction and keep the project on track
• Familiarity with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits
• Experience working with EPC to resolve RFIs and change orders
• Experience in material procurement and material take‑offs

Location and Compensation:

Location: Juno Beach, FL. Per diem available.

Base salary estimate: $58.00/hr to $63.00/hr, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
