Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee mining project construction in Reno, NV. You will act as owner’s representative, review submittals, and coordinate field activities with contractors, vendors, and support staff.

The role requires strong safety, environmental, and quality focus, plus ability to manage changes and field assessments with internal teams and the Contracts Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in CM/CE or related field.
  • Seven years’ experience including personnel supervision.
  • Fifteen years of experience with Associate degree.
  • Seventeen years related experience without a degree.
  • MSHA certification required or ability to obtain within three months of hire.
  • Experience in Construction Management of mining projects.

Responsibilities
  • Acts as owner’s representative for construction projects
  • Provides technical review of material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documents
  • Manage day-to-day field coordination for site-wide services, including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and support crews
  • Coordinate and monitor safety, quality, productivity, and performance
  • Oversee contractor deployment and subcontractor use for waste disposal, water delivery, cleaning, fueling, fencing, sanitation, temporary power, and other site support activities
  • Ensure service activities comply with applicable environmental requirements, MSHA requirements, project procedures, and approved work methodologies
  • Track service needs, usage frequency, delivery methods, and field constraints
  • Support package development, procurement planning, contractor readiness, scope clarification, and field assessments
  • Work with the Contracts Administrator to identify, document, quantify, and support approval of changes related to assigned services packages
  • Proactively coordinate with various teams to resolve interface issues
  • Monitor contractor health and safety performance and elevate non-compliant conditions
Requirements
