Job summary

Exp Federal is seeking a Construction Manager for an overseas assignment in Bern, Switzerland, for 20 months. You will review drawings, develop QC and safety plans, and apply UFGS 01 45 00.00 and EM 385-1-1 requirements.

Responsibilities include leading meetings, tracking deficiencies, coordinating builders, and producing daily progress reports. Requires a Construction Management degree and 7+ years in commercial construction; interim TS clearance ability; US citizenship may be required.

The Challenge:

Exp Federal is accepting applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Department of State, OBO in Bern, Switzerland for 20 months.

Principle Areas of Responsibility:

• Must be able to review and implement drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to develop and implement QC plans, safety plans, and schedules.
• Demonstrated experience and competency applying the principles of UFGS 01 45 00.00 (Quality Control) and EM 385-1-1.
• Must be able to provide input to finalize the project plan as well as make adjustments along the way for unforeseen events.
• Must be able to maintain a tracking log of deficiencies during construction, develop a final punch list upon completion of work and oversee completion of the punch list.
• Must be able to lead preparatory, initial, and final meetings to set QC standards before work is performed.
• Must be able to lead weekly safety briefings and ensure all work is performed in accordance with the AHAs contained in the safety plan.
• Must be able to complete daily reports on work progress as well as conduct weekly (minimum) teleconferences with the Project Manager to update status on quality, safety, and the schedule.
• Responsible for developing dig permits, outages plans, etc. as needed to schedule the work with the end users.
• Oversee all onsite and offsite work to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors

Required Qualifications

• Construction Management Degree from an accrediteduniversity
• 7+ years experience in the commercial construction industry
• Must be able to obtain an Interim TS or Final TS security clearance before deployment
• Candidates with ME, EE, Architecture or FCE degrees will increase the caliber of the submission.

Salary Range
