Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a construction manager to serve as the primary accountability for construction execution across the North Atlantic and NY Metro regions. You will partner with Real Estate, Design, Operations and Planning to deliver new coffeehouses on time, safely, and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years of construction PM experience in retail/hospitality, with strong budgeting and cross-functional leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of construction PM experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or commercial environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of managing multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of general contractor management and construction bidding experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and capital planning.
  • Minimum of 5 years of permitting, entitlement, and jurisdictional coordination.
  • Minimum of 5 years of new store development and/or renovation project delivery experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cross-functional project leadership experience.
  • Previous experience in QSR highly preferred.

The construction manager serves as the primary point of accountability for construction execution and partners closely with Real Estate, Design, Operations, Planning, execution, and delivery of New Coffeehouses in the Northeast region. The construction manager oversees the successful delivery of new coffeehouse development projects ensuring all projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Starbucks design and construction standards.

As a construction manager, you will…

We'd love to hear from people with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of construction project management experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or commercial environments

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
