Job summary

Starbucks Coffee Company is seeking a Director of Coffeehouse Development to steer strategic planning and execution for new coffeehouse growth within an assigned U.S. region.

You will guide Real Estate, Design, and Construction partners to deliver openings from site identification through opening, influencing market plans, investments and project execution. Candidates will lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape growth, and align with brand standards, financial objectives, and customer experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, real estate, finance, urban planning, or related field.
  • Expertise in real estate development and growth strategy.
  • Knowledge of site selection, market planning, entitlements, permitting, design, and construction processes.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to evaluate development investments and growth opportunities.

As director, coffeehouse development, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of new coffeehouse development within an assigned geographic region.

You will guide a cross-functional team of Real Estate, Design, and Construction partners to deliver the company's growth agenda from site identification through opening. As a strategic partner to senior leadership, you will help shape market plans, investment decisions, and project execution while aligning growth with brand standards, financial objectives, customer experience expectations, and long-term business goals.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
