Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager to lead field construction for major capital projects across North America, including hydrogen, ammonia, and air separation facilities.

You will oversee safety, quality, schedule and cost, driving successful execution on multi-million-dollar contracts. This 100% travel role offers per diem and a monthly trip home; assignments often span 1–2 years per site with Gulf Coast focus.

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of heavy industry construction experience.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety, quality, and schedule.
• Experience with EPC, construction estimating, or project controls is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive and enforce a progressive safety program with zero incidents as goal.
• Lead site construction team with Managers & Superintendents.
• Plan and coordinate activities of multiple subcontractors.
• Manage construction contracts to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Clear execution obstacles to enable subcontractors’ success.
• Analyze contractor progress and develop corrective actions.
• Manage RFIs, CCOs, and mitigate cost/schedule issues.
• Collaborate with project team, subcontractors, inspectors professionally.
• Report and forecast progress using construction productivity software.
