Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Construction Manager II in Colorado Springs to lead field operations on infrastructure projects, balancing technical leadership with client relations. You will oversee daily activities, enforce safety, manage schedules, and coordinate with project teams from pre-construction to closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 years of progressive construction management experience, preferably in DOT projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project delivery.
• Experience with DOT or public agency projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget alignment.
• Monitor contractor performance for compliance with plans and standards.
• Coordinate with PMs, engineers, inspectors, and clients to resolve field issues.
• Review schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Lead construction meetings and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain project documentation and cost control records.
• Mentor junior staff and support closeout activities.
