Job summary

GFT is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team in Raleigh, NC, with a requirement to regularly attend the Raleigh office. We focus on delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will manage meetings, schedules, inspections, change orders, and QC/QA plans, partnering with clients and internal teams to ensure exceptional results on every project.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management required or preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in construction management or related field.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course required.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
• Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructibility reviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $50/hour - $75/hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
