Job summary

GFT is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team in Raleigh, NC. The role requires regular attendance at the Raleigh office and offers a hybrid in-person/remote work environment designed to support collaboration and on-site leadership.

You will lead project meetings, develop and monitor schedules, oversee field observations, review submittals, manage change orders, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Experience with Primavera P6 is preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares construction payment applications and change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection.
• Possesses basic surveying interpretation skills.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructibility reviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.

Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $50/hour - $75/hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
