Job summary

GFT is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Construction Services Team in Wilmington, NC. This role requires regular attendance at our Wilmington office.

We oversee every construction phase to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The compensation ranges from $95,500 to $145,500 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package and incentive compensation for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with NCDOT is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in construction management.
• Proficiency with CM software (Procore or similar) preferred.
• MS Office and SharePoint proficiency.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts and documents project meetings with clients.
• Prepares and monitors project schedules.
• Performs periodic construction observation and inspection checks.
• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications and change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Occasional travel to project sites.

• Prepares reports and correspondence.
• Prepares and checks quantities for measurement and payment purposes.
• Prepares construction payment applications.
• Negotiates and prepares construction change orders.
• Reviews submittals and other technical data.
• Proficient with construction management software for document management and scheduling.
• Performs constructabilityreviews and value engineering studies.
• Assists with Risk Management assessments.
• Prepares and monitors Quality Control and Assurance Plans.
• Occasional Travel to and from project sites is expected.

What you will bring to our firm:

• BS in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience working with NCDOT is strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Procore or similar CM software preferred but not required
• 10-hour OSHA Safety course.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and SharePoint Environment
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Must possess a driver's license to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $95,500 - $145,500. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
