Job summary

SkyChefs in Irving, TX is seeking a Construction Manager - Commercial & Industrial Projects to lead planning, execution, and control of capital improvement and construction initiatives across its facilities.

You will coordinate with Infrastructure, Facilities and Asset Management teams, ensure regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/OSHA), manage budgets and schedules, and mentor project staff, with occasional travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or technical related field preferred.
• Minimum of seven years experience in construction engineering/maintenance or related field.
• PMP experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA/USDA/OSHA/FAA) for food facilities.
• Ability to lead infrastructure projects in complex environments and tight schedules.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and management of capital improvement and construction projects.
• Oversee operations engineering, equipment specs, asset assessments, maintenance strategies, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulations.
• Direct collaboration with Infrastructure, Facilities and Asset Management, and Procurement teams.
• Prepare, review, and approve project documents, budgets, and schedules; manage invoices and payments.
