Job summary

Sky Chefs in the United States is seeking a Construction Engineer to plan, design, coordinate, and execute facility construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects across the Sky Chefs network. This role ensures safety and regulatory compliance, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while supporting Lean manufacturing, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidates should be able to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in construction engineering, project engineering, or construction management.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, manufacturing, airport, or food production facilities.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, and contract administration.
• Ability to read construction drawings and engineering documents; familiarity with codes and permitting.
• Strong communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders; travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, design, and execution of facility construction and renovation projects.
• Develop scopes, specifications, bid packages, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site assessments, inspections, and constructability reviews.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, and local regulations; coordinate with authorities.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, and internal teams through project lifecycle.
• Review contractor invoices and change orders; maintain project documentation in Procore/Ariba.
• Support Lean initiatives, automation projects, and continuous improvement.
• Provide ongoing status updates and manage project milestones and risks.
