Job summary

Iris Energy is seeking a Construction Manager – Civil / Structural in Sweetwater, TX to lead civil and structural work for large-scale data-center infrastructure. You will oversee earthworks, foundations, structural steel, and underground utilities, coordinating across engineering, procurement, and construction teams in a fast-paced, on-site role.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in civil construction, strong leadership, and experience with EPCM delivery, along with proficiency in Procore,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in civil construction on large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience in EPCM project delivery model and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specs, and schedules.
• HV electrical interfaces familiarity in industrial/data-center environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of civil and structural work from earthworks to foundations and steel.
• Coordinate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams to deliver safely and on schedule.
• Own field execution, manage safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.
• Read drawings and schedules; manage documentation workflows and cost tracking.

As a Construction Manager – Civil / Structural, you’ll lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the civil and structural work that enables large-scale, high-performance computing infrastructure—from earthworks and foundations to structural steel and underground utilities. Job requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in civil construction, including at least 3 years in a superintendent, construction manager, or senior supervisory role on large-scale industrial projects (e.g., data centers, oil & gas, power generation, heavy industrial, or infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, including earthworks, grading, concrete foundations, structural steel, and underground utilities.
• Proven experience working within an EPCM project delivery model and coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and method statements.
• Familiarity with construction standards and HV electrical interfaces applicable to industrial/data center environments.
• Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite).
• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation workflows.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team supervision skills.
• Highly developed problem-solving ability; proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially minded with the ability to evaluate risks, support decision‑making, and influence project outcomes.
• Industry certifications (PMP, CM‑Lean, NCCER, OSHA) and millwright or civil/structural trade background considered assets.
