Job summary

Veteran Affairs is seeking a Construction Manager/Staff Architect (CM-A) to provide construction management, design oversight, and field coordination for multiple non‑recurring maintenance projects on an active VA medical campus. The role supports the Contracting Officer and COR with planning, scheduling, and quality assurance across design and construction phases.

The incumbent will monitor budgets, coordinate with general contractors, perform reviews, and help resolve issues while ensuring

Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited school.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in both design and construction with a focus on medical facilities.
Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.
Understanding of Construction Contract Documents, codes, budgeting and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Provide construction management support during the design and construction phases.
Assist the Contracting Officer and the Contracting Officer’s Representative in project management, planning, scheduling, design reviews, code compliance and QA/QC.
Monitor project budgets, cost accounting, and change orders; maintain records and provide oversight of design and construction projects.
