Job summary

M.C. Dean, headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, seeks a Construction Manager 3 to lead a demanding on‑site construction program. You will manage scope, schedules, and field operations, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with customers and subcontractors on modular construction initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing scope matrices, reviewing engineering for constructability, and driving testing, commissioning, and documentation. Travel up to 100% may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
• Travel up to 100% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive scope matrix, incorporating site logistics, resource requirements, and initial work packages.
• Lead the administration of site surveys to identify constructability constraints and review engineering documents for compliance.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to build buy‑in for modular construction projects and oversee testing and commissioning requirements.
• Utilize InfraLink for project management, creating and managing schedules, reporting on progress and issues.
• Manage procurement processes by verifying BOM specs, identifying subcontractor scopes, and leading cost‑saving strategies.
• Develop CPM schedule with the project scheduler to define calendars and milestones.
• Manage project administration by coordinating submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
• Manage project scope changes and risk management to protect budgets and schedules.
• Foster positive client relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Oversee field operations to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence, including inspections and punch list.
• Lead talent development and leadership initiatives, planning training and conducting reviews.
