The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all phases of construction and renovation projects in assigned area of responsibility. Sets priorities, schedules and budgets. Supervises staff, including hiring, disciplining, developing performance for staff. Ensures facility performance meets the needs of users, maintains communications with all parties involved. Maintains records for historical resource.

SCHEDULE

Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 3:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Directs project managers, planners, and coordinators in all phases of project management to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, conceptual construction development, schematic design, design development, construction documents, estimating, project schedule, submittals, construction, commissioning, and close out. Works directly with leadership on short- and long-range capital planning.
• Directs construction supervisors, scheduler/planners, and other staff in the completion of assigned projects while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
• Reviews, approves, and audits all project requests and assigns the appropriate staff to ensure work load balancing. Performs routine and complex construction walk throughs to ensure safety and quality standards are being followed.
• Reviews, approves, and has oversight for finalizing construction project designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure documents meet design standards, align with proper code, and support existing building infrastructure.
• Oversees and directs work of staff employees, including hiring, performance management, setting priorities, coaching, mentoring, and staff professional development.
• Develops and tracks Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) utilizing the work management system database and custom reports to monitor productivity and financial accountability to ensure customer satisfaction for each project.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline and 3 years of construction experience required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with managerial skills acquired while working under a Contractor, Construction Manager or another expert in the construction industry preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Advanced knowledge of construction procedures, building and safety compliance and sound financial estimation skills preferred

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Certified Healthcare Constructor preferred
