  • Support project planning, estimating, constructability reviews, and project forecasting.
  • Mentor and develop superintendents, foremen, and other field leaders.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards through inspections, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the execution of power delivery projects across the United States. In this role, you will provide leadership for the construction of substations, transmission lines, switchyards, utility interconnections, and other critical electrical infrastructure. Day-to-day, you will oversee field operations, manage subcontractors, and project teams, and work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving project execution from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate is a field-tested construction leader who builds strong teams, thrives in fast-paced, field-based environments, and is passionate about advancing the infrastructure that supports utilities, renewable energy, and mission-critical facilities nationwide.

Duties And Responsibilities

Required Experience/Skills
  • Experience managing utility, substation, transmission, or power delivery construction projects

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting substations, transmission lines, switchyards, utility interconnections, renewable energy, or industrial infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent, Project Manager, General Foreman, or similar leadership role
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and utility construction standards
  • OSHA, PMP, or other relevant industry certifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
