Job summary

Centerline Communications LLC is seeking an experienced New Site Build / DAS Construction Manager to direct day-to-day construction operations for New Site Development and wireless carriers in Florida and Puerto Rico.

You will manage general contractors, oversee bidding, construction, quality control, testing, and close-out for telecom networks, while aligning with carrier interests and permitting requirements. Spanish fluency is a plus as field coordination spans multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5 years of directly related leadership experience with construction background, Telecom or general contractor experience preferred.
• Experience constructing DAS Venues, Small Cell, MACRO, and MACRO MOD projects for various carriers and/or tower companies.
• Strong technical knowledge of various Telecom carrier’s construction standards.
• Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills; Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
• Previous site management experience and ability to maintain client/supplier relationships.
• Experience managing greenfield site builds and coordination of new tower installation from development through completion.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and coordinate with carrier engineers, general contractors, and project team to keep projects on time and within budget.
• Direct field teams conducting DAS deployments and Macro/Small Cell installations; perform bid walks, pre-construction, quality control, and safety checks.
• Coordinate with utility companies for services and infrastructure support.
• Monitor schedule performance and ensure quality workmanship of contractors.
• Review change proposals, RFIs, and contract documentation on behalf of the carrier’s interests.
• Attend meetings and document items in the carrier’s interests; liaise on permits and inspections.
• Manage relationships with the carrier, clients, and suppliers; act as information resource across project.
• Update the carrier’s online project management tool and document depository system.

Centerline is seeking an experienced New Site Build / DAS Construction Manager (CM) to direct day-to-day construction operations for New Site Development and wireless carriers in Florida and Puerto Rico. As a Construction Manager, you will manage general contractors on behalf of the wireless carriers while they are engaged in the construction, installation, and in-service testing of all project-related Telecom communications systems. The CM will be responsible for overseeing the project through bidding, construction, quality control, testing, and close out process of all the affected communication networks associated with the project being managed. Telecom Construction Management experience required.

What You Will Do

• Review construction drawings and work closely with the carrier construction engineers, general contractors, and project team to complete projects on time and within budget
• Directly manage Field Teams conducting DAS Venue, Macro and/or Small Cell deployments/installations and performs tasks such as bid walks, pre-construction, quality control, and safety adherence
• Coordinate and input, as needed, with utility companies providing services and infrastructure for the project
• Monitor and ensure schedule performance and quality workmanship of contractors
• Review change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the carrier's interests
• Attend local meetings, approval meetings, and conferences on behalf of the carrier; documenting and acting on items in the carrier's interests
• Maintain relationships and act as the carrier's liaison in matters associated with Federal, State, and Municipal matters, including the City's permitting and inspection requirements
• Serve as an information resource by coordinating client's work, participating in meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, coordinating project punch list, logistics/material management, and close-out
• Update the carrier’s online project management tool
• Review and maintain the carrier’s document depository system

What You Will Need

• 5 years of directly related leadership experience with construction background, Telecom or general contractor experience, preferred
• Experience constructing DAS Venues, Small Cell, MACRO, and MACRO MOD projects for various carriers and/or tower companies.
• Strong technical knowledge of various Telecom carrier’s construction standards
• Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills; Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers
• Experience managing raw land (greenfield) site builds, including coordination of new tower installation from site development through completion, is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in an industrial telecom setting
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Project

Frequently the employee is required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 or 100 lbs. Able to climb to and work at standard heights of 12-24' either on ladders or scissor lifts. The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception.
