Centerline is seeking an experienced New Site Build / DAS Construction Manager to direct day-to-day construction operations for New Site Development across Florida and Puerto Rico. The CM will manage contractors, oversee bidding, construction, testing, and close-out, ensuring quality and on-time delivery for telecom networks.

The role requires telecom construction management experience, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with carriers, engineers, and field teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct leadership experience in telecom/construction.
• Experience building DAS venues, small cell, macro projects for various carriers.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and coordinate with engineers and contractors.
• Spanish fluency is strongly preferred and beneficial for communications.

Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings and coordinate with engineers, GC, and project team to meet timelines and budgets.
• Direct field teams for DAS, macro, and small cell deployments; perform bid walks, pre-construction, quality control, and safety adherence.
• Coordinate with utility providers for services and infrastructure.
• Monitor schedule performance and quality of contractor work.
• Review change proposals, RFI, and other contract documents for carrier interests.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the carrier and document actions and decisions.

What You Will Do

• Review construction drawings and work closely with the carrier construction engineers, general contractors, and project team to complete projects on time and within budget
• Directly manage Field Teams conducting DAS Venue, Macro and/or Small Cell deployments/installations and performs tasks such as bid walks, pre-construction, quality control, and safety adherence
• Coordinate and input, as needed, with utility companies providing services and infrastructure for the project
• Monitor and ensure schedule performance and quality workmanship of contractors
• Review change proposals, proposal requests, requests for information, supplemental instructions, and other contract documentation as required on behalf of the carrier's interests
• Attend local meetings, approval meetings, and conferences on behalf of the carrier; documenting and acting on items in the carrier's interests
• Maintain relationships and act as the carrier's liaison in matters associated with Federal, State, and Municipal matters, including the City's permitting and inspection requirements
• Serve as an information resource by coordinating client's work, participating in meetings, resolving disputes, providing ongoing feedback, coordinating project punch list, logistics/material management, and close-out
• Update the carrier’s online project management tool
• Review and maintain the carrier’s document depository system

What You Will Need

• 5 years of directly related leadership experience with construction background, Telecom or general contractor experience, preferred
• Experience constructing DAS Venues, Small Cell, MACRO, and MACRO MOD projects for various carriers and/or tower companies.
• Strong technical knowledge of various Telecom carrier’s construction standards
• Strong consultative, organizational, and communication skills; Spanish fluency strongly preferred
• Previous site management experience as well as experience maintaining a good relationship with the client and suppliers
• Experience managing raw land (greenfield) site builds, including coordination of new tower installation from site development through completion, is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with directing the activities of contractors and crews for mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction in an industrial telecom setting
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Project

Occasionally the work requires the employee to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently the employee is required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 or 100 lbs. Able to climb to and work at standard heights of 12-24’ either on ladders or scissor lifts. The employee needs to have good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception.
