Construction Manager

Hybrid Role | Based in Nassau or Suffolk County, NY

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing subcontractors on-site to ensure all work meets quality standards and aligns with the contracted scope. This role plays a key part in maintaining client satisfaction by consistently protecting the customer’s interests and serving as a primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. The Construction Manager works closely with the Project Manager and provides support as needed. This position requires availability to address client needs or concerns both during active construction and the warranty period. Strong customer relationship skills are essential, as the Construction Manager engages with clients directly from project kickoff through completion.



Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion of project milestones with the highest quality standards
• Monitor labor, materials, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient resource utilization
• Support the Project Manager in delivering projects on schedule and within budget
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure overall customer satisfaction
• Facilitate smooth transitions from engineering to project execution phases
• Provide input on the selection of subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards
• Liaise with governmental and regulatory agencies to coordinate field inspections and ensure compliance
• Stay up to date on industry technology and tools relevant to project execution

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction
• Required: Hands-on experience in Electrical or Mechanical Construction Management
• Strong working knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, and Electrical project execution in the field
• Proficient in scheduling (Microsoft Project), cost control, and project management tools (Excel, Word, and other construction-related software)
• Must currently reside in Nassau or Suffolk County, NY
