Job summary

D’Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Construction Manager in Las Vegas, NV to lead construction activities from preconstruction through closeout. You will monitor safety, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating with contractors, designers, inspectors, and client representatives.

The role requires 7–10+ years in complex projects, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and Unifier is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressively responsible construction management experience.
• Experience on transportation, aviation, roadway, transit, or major civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction management platforms such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, Unifier.
• Professional Engineer (PE), CCM, PMP, or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee construction activities from preconstruction through project completion and closeout.
• Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and compliance with contract documents.
• Coordinate construction activities with contractors, designers, consultants, inspectors, project controls teams, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Review construction plans, specifications, schedules, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Monitor field activities to verify work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, codes, standards, and contractual requirements.
• Identify construction issues, conflicts, and potential risks and coordinate timely resolution with the appropriate project stakeholders.
• Support evaluation and negotiation of change orders, contractor proposals, claims, and schedule impacts.
• Participate in constructability reviews, design coordination, preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, critical activities, and contractor progress and assist with developing recovery or mitigation strategies when necessary.
• Coordinate work within active transportation or airport environments while minimizing impacts to ongoing operations, passengers, tenants, roadway users, or other stakeholders.
• Coordinate construction sequencing, phasing, site access, logistics, utility interfaces, temporary facilities, and shutdown activities as required.
• Maintain effective communication with project owners, contractors, regulatory agencies, utility companies, third parties, and other project stakeholders.
• Review daily reports, inspection documentation, progress reports, schedules, cost information, and other construction records.
• Support project quality assurance and quality control requirements and coordinate resolution of deficiencies and non-conforming work.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project safety requirements and applicable regulations.
• Assist with project turnover and closeout, including punch lists, testing and commissioning, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and final acceptance.
• Prepare and provide project status updates to project leadership and client representatives.
• Perform additional construction management duties as required to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• Typically 7–10+ years of progressively responsible construction management experience, preferably involving transportation, aviation, roadway, transit, or major civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing construction within complex, active operating environments is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, contract documents, specifications, and industry standards.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, cost management, field documentation, and construction closeout.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple contractors, consultants, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction/project management platforms such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, Unifier, or similar systems is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or other relevant professional certification is a plus.
