Job summary

Burgess & Niple, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee roadway, structure, and bridge construction projects. You will monitor contractor work, ensure quality, and maintain project records on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (ABET accredited) or construction management required.
• Ability to obtain all 6 INDOT Certified Technician Courses in first year of employment.
• 0-5 years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Monitor work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction.
• Provide general inspection on construction labor and subcontracted tasks.
• Report assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received.
• Ensure construction methods and procedures are followed and that materials incorporated into project conform to the project material specifications.
• Perform on-site material testing and verification.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment.
• Create and compile close out / final construction records documents for submission.
• Ensures client satisfaction throughout life of projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
