Our client, a leading energy infrastructure company, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the safe and successful execution of large-scale capital projects across natural gas and energy facilities.
This is an owner-side construction leadership role responsible for managing EPC contractors, coordinating multiple active projects, and driving construction execution from project mobilization through mechanical completion, commissioning, and final turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all field construction activities while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Manage multiple EPC contractors and subcontractors across concurrent capital projects.
- Ensure construction activities are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Project Management, Procurement, and Regulatory teams throughout project execution.
- Monitor contractor productivity, staffing, schedule performance, and overall execution.
- Oversee field changes, construction inspections, QA/QC activities, and commissioning support.
- Manage mechanical completion, punch lists, turnover documentation, and project closeout.
- Identify schedule risks, remove execution barriers, and drive project milestones.
- Lead contractor meetings and resolve field issues to maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of construction experience supporting oil & gas facilities
- 5-7+ years leading construction teams on large capital projects
- Proven experience with:
- Compressor stations
- Pump stations
- Processing facilities
- Brownfield construction projects
- Extensive experience managing EPC contractors.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Mechanical Completion
- Project Turnover
- QA/QC processes
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% as project needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of API, ASME, and welding inspection practices.
- Familiarity with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API, and OSHA standards.
- Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
