Position Purpose
The Construction Manager role will execute on new venue construction project delivery to aid in the business expansion to meet our business plan goals.
Position Responsibilities
- Planning and scheduling: Create work schedules, milestones, and timelines. Develop a procurement log with key required by dates to ensure timely ordering of all owner furnished items.
- Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, manage costs, and monitor the budget to successfully meet expectations established.
- Team Selection: Hire a general contractor partner to manage all scope of work, means and methods to perform on budget and on schedule. Purchase all owner direct items with the help of our Interior Designer. Coordinate scope between GC, design team and owner direct vendors.
- Quality control: Ensure safety compliance and quality standards are met on project sites.
- Communication: Work with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress and address concerns
- Contract management: Interpret and explain contracts, and negotiate with vendors and general contractors.
- Permitting: Secure the necessary licenses and permits with the aid of the design team and GC.
- Dispute resolution: Resolve disputes between landlords, general contractor, owner direct vendors, design team, and others.
- Problem resolution: Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other issues with urgency.
- Construction project managers need to have strong leadership skills, communication skills, management skills and be familiar with contract.

Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years construction management experience, preferably in retail, food & beverage, entertainment, or Eatertainment sector.
- Leadership and communication skills allowing for successful team building and project execution.
- Experience negotiating landlord work letters to minimize risk and validate scope meets requirements
- High level budgeting skills to validate LLW prior to execution
- Ability to create milestone schedules and manage GC to the achieve schedule goals. Microsoft Project, Suretrak, or other scheduling software proficiency preferred
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Familiar with utilizing electronic documentation control platforms such as Procore or Plangrid.
- Experience executing construction projects from start to finish on time and on budget.
