Job summary

Equiliem seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the on-site assembly and installation of modular data centers. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards, coordinating subcontractors and field personnel while liaising with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of construction management experience, preferably in industrial/data center projects.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades on site.
  • Ability to read/interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of modular data center assembly and construction activities at project sites.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Oversee installation of prefabricated modules, structural components, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and utilities.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and budgets; address delays, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and site safety requirements per company policies.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify workmanship and adherence to specs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, customers, and commissioning teams throughout the lifecycle.
  • Review drawings, specs, and change orders to ensure accurate field execution.
  • Track progress and provide status updates, documentation, and reporting.
  • Resolve field issues, coordinate inspections, and facilitate turnover and closeout.

Job Summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site assembly and installation of modular data centers and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role manages daily construction activities, coordinates subcontractors and field personnel, and serves as a key liaison between project teams, customers, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience leading large-scale industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects in fast-paced environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of modular data center assembly and construction activities at project sites.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Oversee the installation of prefabricated modules, structural components, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and supporting utilities.
  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and budgets and proactively address delays, risks, and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify workmanship, quality standards, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, customers, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and change orders to ensure accurate field execution.
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates, documentation, and reporting.
  • Resolve field issues, coordinate inspections, and facilitate successful project turnover and closeout activities.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure smooth project handoff to customers and operations teams.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and productive construction site environment.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience, preferably supporting industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center projects.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple construction trades simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, scheduling, and project coordination practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
  • Ability to work on active construction sites and perform frequent walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Certifications
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modular construction or prefabricated building systems.
  • Previous experience supporting data center, utility, power generation, or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with commissioning activities and project closeout processes.
  • Experience working in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or design-build environments.
