Job summary

The Arlington County Department of Environmental Services, Development Services Bureau, seeks a Construction Management Specialist to perform construction management work for the Transportation and Development Division. This role focuses on ensuring that construction projects comply with County codes and standards and coordinates with engineers, planners and inspectors.

• Inspect and enforce construction activities in the County public right-of-way or public easements.
• Inspect public infrastructure within the public right-of-way.
• Review site civil design plans.
• Process land disturbing activity permits.
• Review subdivision plats and easement plats.
• Manage public improvement bonds.
• Inspect public infrastructure built by developers.
• Inspect and enforce erosion and sediment controls and regulate storm water management activities on construction sites.
• Process special exception development projects for approval by the County Board.
