Job summary

DN is seeking a Construction Management Intern to work with our Construction and Operations teams, gaining hands-on experience in civil engineering and heavy-civil construction projects from conception to completion. You will contribute to real projects under a dedicated mentor and learn the lifecycle of project delivery.

This internship offers exposure to AutoCAD site layouts, coordination with subcontractors, and opportunities to develop skills in communication, time management, and problem

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program; Civil Engineering concentration preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong communication and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes.
• Develop and test batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs with suppliers; assist Project Engineers with submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers prior to concrete placements.
