Hourigan is seeking a Construction Management Intern to support field, project and preconstruction activities this summer in Richmond, VA. You will gain hands-on experience across project finances, subcontracts, schedules, BIM coordination, safety and quality control, and on-site leadership under experienced mentors.

Ideal candidates are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in construction management or engineering, eager to learn, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and willing to work about 40

Formación

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in the construction industry and willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Dive into project management aspects: project finances, maintaining contract documents, issuing subcontracts, preparing submittal schedules, coordinating meetings, RFIs, change orders.
• Explore Safety and Quality Control programs and how to coordinate actions to address problems; create safety procedures and audits.
• Get hands-on field management experience leading on-site activities to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Assist with preconstruction tasks: bid packages, subcontractor bids, proposals/specifications, drawings, material takeoffs.
• Learn BIM tools (AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Archicad) and how to run clash detection for structures, interiors, and MEP systems.
• Participate in Hourigan SHMS by adhering to safe work practices and attending safety training.
