Job summary

DN LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a Construction Management Co-op Student to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. You’ll work with a mentor, contribute to real projects, and learn the full lifecycle from conception to completion as part of our team.

You will develop skills in CAD, site layouts, and coordination with subcontractors while exploring opportunities at actual job sites. A competitive hourly rate and mentorship await.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergrad program.
• Civil Engineering concentration preferred.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and solve problems.
• Must be willing to travel to project locations.

Responsibilities

• Identify local concrete suppliers and prepare pre-bid/post-bid pricing.
• Work with suppliers to develop and trial batch mix designs; assist submittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings of slopes, ramps, and bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with engineers/managers.
• Opportunity to visit construction sites during precast panel erection.

Responsibilities:

• Identify local concrete suppliers andpreparepre-bid/post-bid pricing for concrete/shotcrete mixes.
• Work with concrete suppliers to develop and trial batch concrete/shotcrete mix designs. AssistProject Engineers with the preparation ofdetailedprojectsubmittals.
• Develop AutoCAD site layout drawings showing cut/fill slopes, ramps, work roads, crane positions, and casting bed locations.
• Coordinate with sitework, rebar, crane, and concrete subcontractors.
• Perform jobsite pre-pour inspections with Project Engineers and Project Managers prior to concrete placements.
• Opportunity to visit construction sites during precast panel erection.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering or Construction Management undergraduate program. A concentration in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Experience working with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
• Ability to problem-solve in individual and team settings.
• Transportation to project locations and overall willingness to travel.

$24 - $24 an hour

We offer a starting hourly rate of $24 per hour for interns and co‑op students. This compensation is based on market rates and determined by considering many factors such as external market salary survey data, internal data for comparable roles, and the operational and budgetary objectives of the company.
