Qualifications

• Eight years of paid construction work experience, or six years with an AAS and related BS degree.
• Degree must be in Construction Management or related field (AAS or BS).

Responsibilities

• Effectively prepare and teach classes to facilitate student learning.
• Assess student performance and maintain student records.
• Develop, distribute, and adhere to current course outlines and/or syllabi.
• Demonstrate and support professional commitment to Division, School, and College mission and values.
• Maintain currency in the theory and practice of Construction Management and Sustainable Building.
• Becomes familiar with, and abides by, all college policies governing interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments.
• Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators
• Provides appropriate and timely feedback for all assignments
• Returns graded assignments in a timely fashion per department standards
• Maintains student attendance records and grades
• Conducts a variety of appropriate evaluations of student performance
• Informs students of progress periodically and assigns grades by deadlines
• Maintains a safe and respectful instructional environment
• Prepares incident reports for inappropriate student behavior as defined by policy
• Maintains professional and collegial behavior
• Handles/responds to student concerns promptly
• Maintains professional appearance
• Completes all required employee trainings
• Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines
• Provides ADA accommodations as requested
• Other duties as needed
