The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time adjunct instructor for credit and non-credit courses in Baltimore, Maryland. Instructors will develop lesson plans and utilize various evaluation methods while monitoring student progress and classroom management.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of professional experience in construction, civil engineering, or architecture. Relevant teaching experience is preferred. This position requires instruction for college credit and non‑credit courses on a part‑time basis. Class sections include day, evening and some weekends. Instructors develop lesson plans to support the Common Course Outline; develop and administer evaluation methods such as tests, quizzes, projects and reports. Instructors monitor progress, attendance, grade evaluation, final course performance, classroom management and delivery of instruction.
Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required with at least 3 years of professional experience in construction, civil engineering, or architecture. Applicants must hold professional licenses, certifications, and evidence of practice as a construction manager, architect, civil or structural engineer. Preferred qualifications include relevant teaching experience in the field.
