The State of Hawaiʻi, Department of Transportation, Airports Division, seeks a skilled professional to plan, direct and coordinate maintenance and construction for highways, harbors, or airports within a district. You will supervise on-site contracts and ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements include five years of specialized experience, two years supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifikationen

• Five (5) years of experience in construction, remodeling, repair, alteration or maintenance of highways, harbors, airports or other facilities and structures, requiring knowledge of practices, methods, materials, costs, equipment and tools.
• Professional engineering work experience related to construction, remodeling, repair, alteration or maintenance of highways, harbors, airports, or other facilities and structures; and knowledge of engineering practices.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience including establishing work methods, planning, scheduling and reviewing others; cost estimates; and records.
• Administrative aptitude evidenced by successful administration tasks or training; management observation of leadership.
• Valid driver's license at time of appointment.
• Substitutions Allowed: a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a pertinent field may substitute for up to 3 years of the required Specialized Experience.

Aufgaben

• Plan, direct and coordinate a program of maintenance, repair, and construction for State highways, harbors, or airports and related structures and facilities; supervise on-site contract construction and maintenance projects.
• Maintain on-site surveillance of contract construction and maintenance projects and perform related duties as required.
