The Role
We are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our Maintenance and Construction Team to maintain our grow rooms and grow facility equipment. We are constantly improving designs and rebuilding systems; a desire to troubleshoot and diagnose system issues, design improvements, and update the systems per the new design are a plus! This role requires collaboration with an experienced team of growers to deliver best in class grow systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with grow room and grow facility buildout activities
- Timely completion of work per schedule & maintenance requests
- Assist in grow room and overall facility equipment preventative maintenance inspections including but not limited to PVC and PEX plant irrigation and drainage systems, HVAC, dehumidification, humidification, LED/HPS grow lighting, gas heaters, doors, ceilings, facility roof, facility lighting, security systems, and low voltage control wiring
- Troubleshoot facility issues as they arise, come up with solutions, and implement solutions
- Work requires working near high voltage wiring for LED/HPS grow lights and dehumidification, but not directly with high voltage wiring
- Electrical work includes low voltage wiring for thermostat, humidistat, and other control devices
- Handle emergency service calls after business hours or on weekends as needed
- Work with vendors as needed including but not limited to electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing
- Keep documented logs and notes of inspections done, work completed, and vendor interactions
- Maintain an inventory list of spare parts to avoid any downtime due to equipment failures
- Move equipment, tools, or supplies between properties as required
- Run errands as required, including picking up supplies at various stores or vendors, and maintain detailed record keeping of receipts
- Touch up dry-wall as needed, including painting, and some wood trim
- Use protective ear-wear, eye-wear, and steel toe shoes when necessary
- Perform all other duties as necessary and any additional duties assigned by your
Requirements
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- 1-3 years of facility maintenance and or production maintenance. HVAC knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
General Facility Operations: Maintenance and Construction

- Ability to work well under pressure
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools including but not limited to saws, drills, and grinding wheels.
- Hands on experience in installation of plumbing systems such as irrigation and/or drainage is a plus, but not required
- Experience in a production environment using mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trouble-
- Experience with Reverse Osmosis irrigation systems is a plus
- Able to work on ladders up to 14' high, and on room ceilings 12-14' tall
- Serve as a role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures.
- Have strong service and quality focus. Address issues effectively when problems arise and take initiative to understand the root cause, then communicate / educate the team in a timely manner.
Additional Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, including short-notice requests in the evenings or
- Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
Physical Demands – Must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Regularly move up to 50 lbs
- Climb and work on ladders up to 14' tall
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Stand on your feet for long periods of time
Working Hours:
- Weekends: Must be able to work Saturdays
