Job summary

Ascend Wellness Holdings, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in the upkeep of the facility. The role covers routine and preventative maintenance of equipment, basic plumbing, HVAC and electrical work, and general repairs. A team player with pride in workmanship is preferred.

The position is full-time with a Tuesday-Saturday shift, paying $23–$25 per hour. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with safety and regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general construction/carpentry.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or in teams and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. The Maintenance Technician assists in routine and preventative maintenance of all equipment within the facility, as well as general cleaning and upkeep of the facility itself. The ideal candidate is well-rounded, with some exposure to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC as well as general facility maintenance. The candidate is a team player, driven by pride in their work and smiles on coworkers’ faces.

Schedule: Full Time Tues - Sat. 8am - 4:30pm.

Pay: $23 - $25 / Hour

Primary Responsibilities

• Performs all duties in a safe manner, following company work rules and policies.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
• Assist in construction, preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance and repairs on all equipment in the facility.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Develop a high level of knowledge concerning equipment in the facility and maintain knowledge of plumbing, electrical, irrigation, HVAC, and security systems.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and required training (Safety, Quality, Regulations, etc).
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
• Help create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and being self‑motivated.
• Research, evaluate and adapt to new methods to meet or exceed goals, and modify techniques/procedures based on applicable laws.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or a similar position.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical and general construction/carpentry.
• Highly knowledgeable with hand and power tools.
• Highly motivated, self‑directed, innovative, and able to work independently or in teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness.
• Adapt and thrive in a demanding, start‑up, fast‑paced environment.
• Understand and comply with company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Pass all required pre‑employment screenings.
• Be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
• Minimum age 21.
• Approved by state regulating agency to receive cannabis agent badge.
• Must be able to perform grasping, talking, hearing, climbing, reaching, squatting, kneeling, crawling, seeing and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work on feet, lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance) safely.
• Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
• Must focus, pay close attention to detail, internalize training and follow instructions.
• Communicate clearly and effectively.
• Full knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and requirements to keep the facility at compliance.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
• Must stand continuously and walk continuously.
• Must bend, kneel, crawl, and perform mandatory physical activities as required.
• Must be able to reach overhead and perform repetitive use of hands/arms.
• Must maintain mandatory eye‑hand coordination, hearing and visual acuity.
• Must work on feet continuously.
