Firstrust Bank is seeking a Construction Loan Closing Specialist seasoned in ground-up construction financing closings. The role requires coordinating closings, reviewing terms, and ensuring compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.

The candidate will work with Relationship Managers, portfolio managers, and title companies to finalize documentation, track disbursements, and maintain high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years banking and commercial lending experience.
• Extensive knowledge of construction real estate closing requirements.
• Ability to analyze a loan approval and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained during closing.
• Prior experience with Real Estate Finance lending teams is strongly encouraged.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate all aspects of construction loan closings from approval through funding.
• Review approvals/memos to ensure terms are reflected in closing documents.
• Assemble, review, and verify closing docs including notes, mortgages, and agreements.
• Verify all approvals and conditions are satisfied before closing.
• Confirm insurance coverage (hazard, builders' risk, flood, etc.).
• Engage with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and title companies for closing items.
• Ensure compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage daily workflow to meet closing deadlines.
• Track settlement disbursement, file maintenance, adjustments, reconciliations and system setup.
• Monitor closing pipeline and participate in loan meetings as needed.
• Maintain superior service when obtaining Real Estate Finance documentation.
• Oversee team accuracy on loans and assist in developing new business.

Hybrid Position

The Construction Loan Closing Specialist requires in-depth knowledge and experience in the review process for Ground up Construction Financing loan files and closing settlements.

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Coordinates all aspects of construction loan closings from approval through funding.
• Review loan approvals/memos to ensure all terms and conditions are accurately reflected in closing documents.
• Assemble, review, and verify closing documentation, including notes, mortgages, and construction loan agreements.
• Verify that all required approvals and conditions have been satisfied before closing.
• Confirm hazard, builders' risk, flood, and other required insurance coverage.
• Engages communication with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, title companies, for required closing items.
• Ensures compliance with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manages the daily workflow to ensure that loan closing deadlines are met.
• Track the settlement disbursement process, file maintenance, adjustments, reconciliations and other loan system set up functions.
• Monitors the closing pipeline and may participate in new loan meetings with Relationship Manager.

Other job duties and responsibilities:

• Maintains superior customer service when obtaining all Real Estate Finance documentation.
• Assume other responsibilities or special duties associated with the function of the department as delegated by Manager.
• Oversee and collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy on all loans.
• Assists in the development of new business for Firstrust. Is alert to expressed customer/prospect needs to suggest appropriate services. Directs customers to appropriate person to establish business relationships.

Education, training and experience:

• 5-10 years of banking and commercial lending experience
• BS or BA Degree in Business Administration or related field experience
• Extensive knowledge of and experience with Construction Real Estate closing requirements
• Ability to analyze a loan approval and loan file to ensure all necessary documentation is obtained during the closing process
• Prior experience working withing with Real Estate Finance lending team is strongly encouraged.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good oral written communication skills.
• Proven history of managing high volume workflows.
