Jobot seeks an experienced Construction Litigation Shareholder to join a well-established practice with a strong regional and national reputation. You will represent contractors, subcontractors, developers, owners, sureties, and design professionals in complex construction disputes.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in MO, IL, OR, or FL.
• Strong litigation experience with focus on construction law.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with courtroom and deposition experience.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating within a team.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with genuine interest in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of litigation, from case assessment through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal.
• Represent clients in disputes involving construction defects, delay claims, mechanic's liens, payment and performance bond claims, contract disputes, and professional liability.
• Advise clients on risk management and contract drafting/review to help prevent disputes before they arise.
• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare cases for arbitration, mediation, and trial.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators and support staff on multi-party, technically complex matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, practical, and business-minded counsel.
• Participate in business development efforts, including client relationship management and industry involvement.
