Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Construction Layout Technician/Surveyor to perform precise electrical construction layout using robotic total stations and GNSS on large commercial projects.

This role requires interpreting engineering drawings, collecting as-built data, and coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate measurements, alignment, and safety compliance on active sites. Travel to multiple job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of land survey/construction experience preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineered drawings.
• Operate Trimble GPS and Total Station data collectors with minimal supervision.
• Collect as-built data.
• Report to assigned job sites punctually.
• Adhere to safety requirements on job sites.
• Work outdoors at construction sites in all weather conditions.
• Provide layout lines and elevations for accurate material installation.
