NS Giles seeks a Field Engineer/Construction Layout professional to perform line and grade surveying and prepare CAD-based layout documents on active projects in the United States. The role balances fieldwork with office time to verify contracts, drawings, and as-builts, ensuring adherence to tolerances, safety standards, and project schedules.

Responsibilities include creating CAD files, coordinating with project management, and maintaining field documentation while upholding NS Giles safety

Qualifications

• Degree in construction related field and 3+ years of experience as Field Engineer/Construction Layout.
• Must be fluent in reading plans, specifications, and related project documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and grade surveying and document procedures.
• Create CAD files for foundation layout and site control.
• Review contract drawings, specs, and shop drawings for coordination.
• Verify work placement within tolerances and safety standards.
• Maintain contract documents and electronic CAD-based docs for field ops.
