Job summary
Degan, Blanchard & Nash (DBN) invites a Construction Attorney with 4–8 years of experience in construction law and complex litigation to join our collaborative team in New Orleans.
You will represent contractors, owners, developers, engineers, and insurers across contracts, disputes, and risk management, handling pleadings, motions, and court proceedings.

Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Louisiana State Bar in good standing.
- 4-8 years in construction law or related practice areas.
- Experience with construction disputes, contract negotiations, and risk management.
- Strong writing, research, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Manage diverse construction-related matters, including disputes and risk issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other documents.
- Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and depositions.
- Advise on contracts, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies.
- Review and negotiate construction agreements and project documents.
- Stay updated on laws and industry developments.
