DEGAN BLANCHARD & NASH A PROFE is seeking a Construction Attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join our litigation‑focused team in New Orleans. You will represent contractors, owners, developers, and insurers across all project phases.

You will manage a diverse caseload, draft pleadings and contracts, and advise on risk allocation and regulatory issues. The firm emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and comprehensive benefits to support your practice.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Louisiana in good standing.
• 4–8 years in construction law or related litigation.
• Experience handling construction disputes and contract negotiations.
• Strong writing, research, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professionalism and ethics at a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of construction matters including disputes and risk issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and depositions.
• Advise on contracts, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients on case strategies.
• Review and negotiate construction and subcontractor agreements.
• Stay current on laws and industry developments.
