Job summary

The Walsh Group is seeking a Common Laborer for the GDOT SR316 Bundle 2 project in Athens, GA. The candidate will perform physical labor on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil sites and may use hand and power tools as needed.

This on-site role emphasizes safety and teamwork across our transportation division. Responsibilities include site preparation, tool use, and assisting with material handling, with a strong emphasis on safety policies and reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb and balance on scaffolds/ladders.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical labor as directed by supervisor.
• Operate hand and power tools (drills, hammers, etc.).
• Clean and prepare construction sites, erect scaffolding, dispose of debris, and dig trenches.
• Load and unload construction supplies manually and with equipment.
