Job summary

Haselden Construction is seeking a skilled laborer to support daily site operations in Bozeman. You will operate hand and power tools, inspect equipment, report hazards, and help keep the job site clean and organized while following safety procedures and adhering to project plans.

The role requires a self-motivated team player who can adapt to a fast-paced site, is willing to work overtime, and has reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must provide personal safety footwear.
• Must provide basic hand tools.
• Reliable transportation to job sites across the city.
• Must pass a background check and drug test (required).

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools safely; inspect tools daily.
• Identify hazards and participate in safety briefings and Toolbox Talks.
• Report near misses and safety concerns to Foreman or Superintendent.
• Keep the job site clean and organized; enforce subcontractor cleanup.
• Use proper lifting techniques and equipment; request assistance when needed.
• Inspect and forecast materials and tools two weeks out; notify supervisor if low.
• Load and unload materials; store extras for future use.
• Wear dust-controlling PPE and follow silica safety standards during potentially dusty tasks.
• Rig and inspect rigging and fall protection before use.
• Assist with erosion control measures (silt fence, straw wattling, washout pits).
• Patch or rub walls using owner-specified materials.
• Work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions.
