Cody Vermette Group, Inc. in Belmont, CA is seeking a Laborer to support CVG's field operations by assisting the jobsite Superintendent and project teams with jobsite setup, material handling, site maintenance, demolition, cleanup, and general construction activities.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability, following directions, effective communication, and a strong work ethic, with opportunities to learn and grow within the construction industry. On-site, non-exempt position.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction sites preferred.
• Experience with industry hand tools and power tools preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• CPR and First Aid training preferred.
• Clear communication with team; organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to build positive team relationships.
• Professional environment, ethical behavior, and good judgement.
• Adaptable, flexible, and resilient while managing multiple tasks.
• Able to work nights and weekends, as needed.
• Physical ability to access jobsite and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow CVG safety program; wear PPE and report violations.
• Direct traffic to maintain public safety as needed.
• Maintain OSHA 10/30 certifications and participate in safety trainings.
• Operate hand/power tools and basic equipment on site.
• Load/unload supplies; transport materials between areas.
• Assist with setup, demolition, cleanup, and debris disposal.
• Keep a safe, organized, and clean jobsite; store materials/tools properly.
• Dig pits, trenches, and foundations; back-fill as needed.
• Meet project timelines; complete tasks on schedule.
• Secure the jobsite daily; support eagerness to learn construction.
