Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking a Laborer-Construction to support field operations along the east coast.

The role involves adhering to safety procedures, learning blasting-site safety, and performing general labor tasks under supervision of superintendents and drill operators. Qualified candidates will have a valid driver's license, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and be willing to travel for 6-8 weeks of paid training.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check for ATF.
• Willing to travel to northern divisions for 6-8 weeks (paid).
• Experience with construction laborer helpful but not required.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
• Ability to learn and develop higher level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety procedures and policies.
• Submit weekly time cards accurately and signed.
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites around explosives.
• Perform laboring activities as directed.
• Work unsupervised occasionally.
• Load and unload explosives from truck.
• Carry stemming stones to blast holes.
• Maintain clean and organized job site.
• Attend safety meetings and foreman meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
