Job summary

Janotta & Herner, based in Monroeville, OH, is seeking a Construction Laborer to support site prep, material handling and assorted manual tasks on active jobsites.

You will assist trades, operate basic tools, and help keep the workplace safe and productive. This hourly role involves outdoor work, varied weather, and potential overtime with a focus on learning construction craft and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred depending on site.
• Prior construction or related field experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing obstacles, setting up barriers, and following project manager directions.
• Support carpenters, concrete workers, iron workers and equipment operators on site.
• Operate hand and power tools as needed; load and unload materials and equipment.
• Keep the site organized and safe; remove debris and waste.
• Assist in setup and operation of construction machinery and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
