Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Pennsylvania is seeking a Laborer-Construction to support diverse field operations along the east coast. You will follow safety procedures, assist with digging, loading explosives and general labor on active sites.

Starting pay is $18.00–$20.00 per hour plus a travel allowance of $150 per week. Overtime and training incentives are offered as you progress, with opportunities to learn the drilling and blasting trade.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must pass criminal background check (ATF).
• Experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and handling explosives.
• Take direction and perform laboring activities on site.
• Occasionally work unsupervised.
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
• Load and unload explosives from trucks.
• Carry stemming stone to stem blast holes.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Attend monthly foreman safety and job meetings.
• Participate in daily safety huddles.
• Other duties as assigned.
