Scotty’s Contracting and Stone is seeking a Construction Laborer to join our Heavy Civil Division. This role supports heavy highway, industrial, and commercial sitework with physical duties on active construction sites under foreman supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing similar key responsibilities.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and safety practices.
• Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle report in good standing.
• Strong attention to safety and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general heavy civil construction labor duties.
• Direct and control traffic through construction zones using signs and signals.
• Communicate clearly with crew, equipment operators, and the public for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor traffic and adjust signals and equipment to maintain safety.
• Assist with safe entry and exit of construction vehicles and equipment.
• Remain alert to hazards and changing site conditions.
• Follow safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Report hazards or issues to lead or foreman promptly.
• Be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
