Job summary

Transdev North America seeks a dedicated Construction Track Laborer to support rail infrastructure construction, maintenance, and repair activities. You will assist with track installation, rehabilitation, inspections and general labor tasks at sites across the network.

Must have prior track laborer experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, and possess a valid driver's license with 3+ years of driving. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with some nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
  • Knowledge and experience using track jacks and other track maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Previous railroad track construction or maintenance experience required.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with some night and weekend work.

Job description

Transdev is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Construction Track Laborer to support rail infrastructure construction, maintenance, and repair activities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of track systems by assisting with track installation, rehabilitation, inspections, and general labor responsibilities.

Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • $49.20 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement)

Key Responsibilities
  • Must be a skilled track laborer.

  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and potentially some holidays.
