Position Summary

Under the direction of the foreperson, laborers typically work on a road crew but may also work at asphalt plants or maintenance shops. Responsibilities include job layout, shoveling, raking, sweeping, traffic control, and operating small equipment like blowers, saws, compactors, and jackhammers. On-the-job training will develop skills for advancement to equipment operator. This is a full-time seasonal position (May-November), requiring overtime and some Saturdays. Local and regional travel opportunities are available.
